Update 1.3.13 released
Quickly head over to Straw Bale and discover for a limited time: a fabulous, spectacular, incredible... cow?
What does it mean? What does it do? Are we alone in the universe? Find out all of this, and more, in this latest Liftoff update!
Changelist
- Added: several interactable events in each environment that are active throughout the year.
- Added: Steam achievements to Liftoff.
- Added: the track editor now has support for named spawn points. Track creators can now name their spawn points. Note: to name a spawn point in existing tracks, the spawn point should be deleted and placed again as old spawn points can not be mapped to this adjusted track item.
- Added: the track editor allows to change a track's name, add a description and the option to hide the default spawn point. This is useful in case the track would cover up the default spawn point in the level.
- Updated: dropdown menus now show their last position when opening them, instead of having to scroll through them entirely again.
- Updated: the drone's HUD render distance has been adjusted from 10m to 1m, preventing clipping issues in the revamped Liftoff Arena environment.
- Fixed: when sharing content to the Steam Workshop failed, it would always time out. Now the proper error message is caught and displayed.
- Potential fix: infinite reset bug. This is not reliably reproducible. Based on received log reports, the initial visible cause has been dealt with.
Events
The past few years, you might have seen the occasional pumpkin, snowman and rainbow in Liftoff. These objects appear during our yearly time based events. With this update we add a bunch of new events that will appear in-game during the year, and we made them a bit more interactive too! Have you gone on an artifact hunt in the past, but felt let down for not being rewarded for your search? No more! Some events will now award you XP points for collecting the different objects hidden in our environments. Enjoy!
